Sherry Smith has been creating unique and vibrant works in acrylics since she began painting over 25 years ago. Sherry was raised in East Tennessee and has always been drawn to the beauty of the mountains.
As an East Tennessee native living between the Great Smoky Mountains and the Cumberland Plateau, I am blessed to be surrounded by both the natural beauty of nature and glimpses of what remains of a vanishing heritage. As I have grown as an artist, the travel bug has provided access to rural and remote areas across the United States, and as far away as Ireland and the Scottish Highlands. Mountains, lakes, rivers, streams, forests, meadows, farms, gardens, trails, and back-roads all provide a never-ending source of inspiration that I love to capture on canvas.
